Hexagonie is an innovative way of introducing French at Key Stage 3. It is designed for use with pupils in their first two years of French and provides comprehensive coverage of all the Oracy and Literacy Objectives of the KS3 programme of study for Key concepts, Key processes and Range and content as well as many of the learning objectives for Curriculum opportunities.

1. Teacher's Guide
The Teacher's Guide comprises the following elements. Please click on them for further, condensed information.
2. The audio CD
The audio CD contains dialogues, listening exercises and songs. Extracts from the recordings of 2 of the dialogues, along with a copy of the related transcript can be found here
There are 4 songs (sung, with instrumental versions) including:.
  • the alphabet song (to the tune of "Twinkle, twinkle, little star")
  • "Un kilomètre à pied" (trad.)
  • "La tête, les épaules, etc " (trad.)
  • "Moi, je sais planter les choux" (trad.)
Each song is accompanied and is sung by native French speakers. There is also an instrumental version of the last 3 songs.
Please note that a set of 120 flashcards - which is referred to frequently throughout the course - may be bought separately for £25. (This set was originally included as part of the course but later removed to enable teachers to use their own flashcards and to reduce the cost of the materials).
